Celebrating Acute Medicine Week (23rd - 29th September)

Introducing Celebrating Acute Medicine Week (the week formerly known as Acute Medicine Awareness Week). After another challenging year, we want to highlight the amazing work being done by Acute Medical Units across the UK. We have so much to be proud of as a specialty. September is an opportunity for us all to celebrate the colleagues, ideas and innovations that make Acute Medicine special.

Following the launch of the EcoSAM competition, we’re excited to announce that this year’s theme will be Sustainability in Acute Medicine. We’re particularly keen to hear about changes you’ve introduced to make your unit greener and better for the planet.

In keeping with the theme, Celebrating Acute Medicine Week will be entirely online. We won’t be sending out non-sustainable merchandise as part of our commitment to promote Acute Medicine in a more environmentally friendly way.

How to get involved

Pick something – or better yet, someone – you want to celebrate and tweet it out with the hashtag #CAMW2024. We’ll be online all week, celebrating Acute Medicine and all the good work being done all year round.
